Copacabana

Arrived in the town of Copacabana yesterday, which is located on the shores of Lake Titicaca - at 3810m above sea level - it is the highest navigable lake in the world. In Inka mythology, Manco Capac and Mama 0cllo, children of the Sun, emerged from the depths of Lake Titicaca to found their empire.

Visited the Isla Del Sol (Island of the Sun) today. Inca legend says that Viracocha, the bearded god who created the universe, emerged from the waters of lake Titicaca and created the sun at this location. A boat dropped us at the north of the island, from thee it was a 4 hour walk to the south of the island where we caught a boat back to Copacabana
